Briana Benavides, LMSW
With training in play-based, trauma-informed, and neurodiversity-affirming approaches, Bri collaborates closely with caregivers, schools, and other providers to create individualized supports that fit each child’s strengths and context. She specializes in helping children and teens develop emotional regulation, social navigation, and confidence while supporting families in building practical, compassionate strategies.
Bri provides gender- and sexuality-affirming care for LGBTQIA2S+ youth and their families, supporting identity development, minority-stress mitigation, and resilience-building in a trauma-informed, safe setting. She emphasizes cultural humility, intersectional understanding, and collaborative, client-directed treatment planning. Bri believes in continued learning and proceeds to further her education through training and consultation with colleagues for support.
Outside of therapy, Bri enjoys playing volleyball, reading mystery novels, and hanging out with her chinchilla, Teddy.
